I took the younger kids to the Tax Day Tea Party in Lee's Summit today.  We have been talking about the Constitution lately and this was a great opportunity to discuss the first amendment and make it real to them.

The photo is just a camera phone shot but it was pretty fun anyhow.  Check out the little guy's expression.  Someone gave the kids a sign as we were walking in and he really took to it.

My oldest son went to the Tea Party in Kansas City which was a much larger event than this one that we went to.  I am looking forward to hearing about the experience and hopefully seeing some photos.  If I didn't have these kiddos with me I think I would have attended that one as well but I just didn't want to ruin the experience for these guys by dragging them all over town for hours and wearing them out. 

Well, I know it isn't portraiture but I just had to share.  My focus has shifted very strongly to being with these guys as much as possible which may limit the hours I work.  Probably won't limit the hours I use a camera though ;o)
